Progress Update 7 on Work by City of Mandurah following the January 2023 petition to Protect Doddis Beach from Coastal Erosion.

City of Mandurah are responding to community concerns about erosion and management of Doddis Beach. Immediate urgent repairs are planned and long term solutions will be sought.

City of Mandurah has begun responding to the community maintenance and coastal erosion concerns at Doddis Beach. Planned activity at Robert Point includes sand nourishment, dune stabilisation, a new staircase, and clearing out the carpark drains.

Local residents overwhelmingly support the cause to Protect Doddis Beach and the petition was unanimously accepted by City of Mandurah Council on 23 Jan 2023.

The Petition to Protect Doddis Beach was supported by 1,142 locals and unanimously accepted by City of Mandurah Council on 23 January 2023.

Interest in the petition to protect Doddis Beach and Robert Point grew through the 2022/23 summer break. The petition lists concerns relating to the deterioration of Robert Point and Doddis Beach and calls for action to protect the coast from further degradation and coastal erosion.
